Moist Banana Bread with Walnuts
This bread is extra special because I add an extra egg which gives this bread a rich custard flavor. This banana bread is decadent and moist, a crowd pleaser for sure!
Ingredients:
3 bananas mashed
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1- 1 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup butter (regular or vegan)
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup milk (I used silk almond)
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325. In a bowl mix together flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Whisk butter and sugars together until smooth. Then add in eggs and mashed bananas, whisk together. Next, add in milk and vanilla and mix until smooth. Fold in flour mixture until fully incorporated, do not over stir. If adding walnuts or chocolate chips gently fold them in now. Pour mixture into a greased bread pan. Bake for 1 hour and 10-15 minutes or until inside is fully cooked through.
