“The Rocky Mountains. A majestic wonder that brings tears to my eyes just standing in their presence. The air is crisp and clean, with the strong scent of pine lingering after every inhale. The earth here feels different than it does in my hometown. Here I am in the presence of naturally created monuments.
These mountains were created by the constant movements of the tectonic plates. The energy, the force used to create this area would have been too big for humans to fully understand in my opinion. Yes we have the science and the facts, but something that powerful and extravagent would most likely have me in tears. To witness these mountains being formed? To witness the taking and giving of energy as rocks rise and fall with the moving earth? I think this is one experience that would leave any human in awestruck silence. We may have not been there 80 million years ago to witness it, but we can appreciate it for what it is today; while we revel in the idea of what a sight it would have been.”
